Day Tour
We will cruise through a myriad of islands and narrow inlets on our way to Sitka's local hot springs. We will pass Mt. Edgecumbe, Sitka's, semi-active volcano, and the white sandy otter-inhabited beaches of Pirates Cove. After cruising for about 2 to 2 and a half hours, witnessing whales, sea lions, and bald eagles, you will kayak or row to the beach and soak and rejuvenate in the natural hot springs mineral water. There are open shelters over the hot tubs, which feature natural hot springs water and cold water. You may spend up to 3 hours enjoying the hot springs and surroundings. Brunch, lunch and snacks included. You are also welcome to bring your own food and drinks to enjoy.

Week-long Excursion
Plan for up to a 7 day excursion to travel the length of the outer coast of Baranof Island and visit the fishing village and former whaling station , Port Alexander. Port Alexander is a beautiful one of a kind community on the southeastern corner of Baranof Island. There are no cars in this village. A wooden boardwalk, like a dock in the forest, is all that links the neighborhoods and small businesses. Explore the white and black volcanic sand seashore while enjoying a bonfire and barbeque on the beach. Along the way, our journey will take us to many wild mythical places where you can kayak or try trolling for salmon*. This invaluable experience will connect you with earth and sea in ways you’ve never imagined.

3 Hour Cruise Of Local Sitka, Alaska Waters
Not Your Usual Tour Boat. The Karmon Dee is an old school troller, a “salmon snagger” as Tom Robbins once put it. She was built in the 1970s with the Arab oil embargo of the US in mind. If oil became scarce she could catch salmon under sail like they did in the WAY old days.
This is a short sight seeing tour around the nearby waters of Sitka, AK where humpback, grey and orca whales may be seen as well as otters, sea lions, bald eagles, and of course, the iconic Raven.
The Captain will show you the equipment used for commercial salmon trolling, and if he’s feeling especially magnanimous, will reveal what lures have been catching the most fish in recent days.
Optionally, if all passengers purchase a 7 day $30 deckhand license with ADF&G (Alaska Department of Fish and Game) either online or at the local fishing supply store in Sitka, the Captain will put the troll gear in the water and let you take part in the fishing!
Prices are $150. a person. 3 passenger minimum. 6 passenger maximum. Welcome aboard!
